EXTREME SPEARFISHING ENCOUNTERS E.S.E is a company dedicated to pelagic game fish hunting! Based on the south coast of KZN and operating from Umkomaas, our play ground is the Aliwal Shoal. The Shoal lies 6km offshore and is only accessible by boat. The Shoal comes up from 30m on the out side to as shallow as 6m on the pinnacles. When the current is right there is no better place to find Wahoo, Cuta, Sailies, Dorado and the Occasional Marlin!! From May we concentrate on the vast no of Wahoo shoals that visit the North East drop-off. Most fish are between 15 and 20kgs, although we have seen fish well over 30kgs and some close to 50kg!!!! Biggest one landed so far is 35.5kg! ESE Wahoo Special Morning trip from sunrise till 12 noon MIN 3 PEOPLE Price includes fuel, light refreshments, gillie and loads of blue water action!!!!!!! All diving is done off an 8m Supa Duck with 2 new 85hp Yamahas - very spacious and designed to dive off J Please feel free to contact me about any questions you might have. Wahoo, Sailfish, Cuta, Kingfish, Tuna and the occasional Marlin. Our main area as I said is the Shoal but we also dive the Scottburgh area if the Shoal is not working. Autumn through winter we concentrate on the Wahoo and Sailfish on the Shoal, we also move inshore and target the Cuta, Snoek, Garrick, Salmon and numerous other species that move up our coast waiting for the Sardines to arrive! When the Sardines do arrive we will follow them and find a pocket with the most game fish on it and try our luck in landing some of the monster fish that follow these little fish up our coast! A typical day on the shoal would be a sunrise launch, we scout and find the best area to dive according to current and visibility, 12am we pack up and come home. Light refreshments are available on the boat. Tailor made packages are also available if guys would like to dive multiple days, accommodation can also be arranged.
